Tell us about Julia Katsivo
Julia Katsivo is a heart centered entrepreneur committed to helping people raise and meet their personal and professional standards for greater productivity and personal fulfillment. She does this through her coaching programs, workshops, a conference she founded, writings and speaking engagements.

What do you like most about being an entrepreneur?
I like that I'm my boss - anything goes. I'm not restricted to corporate mandates and chains of commands. Whatever I believe, I conceive and make it happen.

What is one of your biggest accomplishments professionally or personally?
Personally, kicking bad habits that included smoking is my greatest achievement and professionally, watching my dreams come true as I work toward them. I've spoken on stages, television, coached people looking into new ventures, created workshops, 2 day events and a conference amongst other things in my first year of business. That's crazy.

Do you have a piece of advice for aspiring young men and women who wish to be successful in your field?
My advice is humility, education and persistence. When you start out you'll think that you're pretty special until you meet all the other special people with incredible things to offer - just like you. To get to the heart of who you are and what you have to offer that sets you apart requires a lot of internal work, humility, studying and walking in the footsteps of those who've successfully gone ahead of you. Choose your crowd carefully - watch their movements, listen to their words and examine their fruits (what arises out of their words and actions). Remember that you'll become what you follow. Educate yourself continually and crown all this off with persistence. You'll require rock solid persistence to make it, in anything really.

What does Manyatta Network mean to you?
Manyatta Network to me represents the African Professional, the trail blazer, the example for other minorities to look and connect and meet other "birds of the feather." It is a breath of fresh air in an economy flooded with educated, ambitious and intelligent people working in factories and call centres. It gives hope, encourages and helps aspire.
